Your Family Vet for Continuity of Care

Our Veterinarians

Dr. Mason Lowe

Hi, I’m Dr. Mason, a committed veterinarian with the goal of providing more accessible healthcare for pets. I have worked in Canada since graduating from Massey University. Over the past two years I have worked in both general practice and emergency hospitals. I have had the privilege of guiding pet owners through everything from their pets’ first vaccines to complex chronic conditions in senior pets, and all the curveballs that emergencies throw along the way!

Veterinary care should be accessible, compassionate and collaborative. I want to educate and support you to make informed decisions to make your pets’ life as healthy and stress-free as possible. You should walk away with confidence that you’ve made the right choices for your pet.

In practice, my interests include preventative health and chronic management. I give owners foundational knowledge and understanding to approach big topics with ease and comfort, and check in regularly to make little adjustments along the way. I appreciate each lasting relationship with my clients and their pets.

When I’m not consulting, I’m usually out playing hockey, or watching other sports. My dog, Rex, keeps me busy at home!

Dr. Georgia Van De Loo

Hi, I’m Dr. Georgia. I’m a general practice and emergency veterinarian from New Zealand. I grew up in North Canterbury before moving to study at Massey University. After graduating, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to move to Canada to work and travel with my partner. This experience provided invaluable knowledge and skills in both general practice and emergency medicine.

During my day to day, I often find myself in consulting rooms and the reception enjoying my time chatting with clients and forming trusting relationships that last beyond our consultation. Whether it’s discussing questions and concerns you have for your pets’ health, or hearing stories about when you first adopted them and how they’ve now grown up alongside your family – I love hearing it all!

Client understanding is of highest importance to me. I believe every client deserves to have an empathetic, reassuring veterinarian who can take their time to explain what’s happening in a way that makes sense.

When not helping pets and clients, I appreciate the slower things in life – reading a good book, spending time with my cats, Luna and Moomoo, or exploring trails in the local forests and mountains.

Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationships

Veterinary telemedicine is a powerful tool, but it comes with legal and clinical boundaries to protect your pets’ health.

For medical diagnoses and prescription medications, a Veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR) is required. This is to promote safe, informed care. This is achieved with an in-person consultation and patient physical exam. Without a VCPR, telemedicine services are limited to offering general advice, education, triage guidance and recommendations.

Our approach to telemedicine respects these boundaries. For clients on our basic plan (chat, images/recordings only), we provide non-prescriptive veterinary advice. However, no diagnoses or prescriptions are offered without a VCPR and a true consultation.

For clients on our Comprehensive Plan, which includes an annual in-person physical exam by our licensed veterinarians, we formally establish a VCPR. This allows full services via our mobile veterinary presence – suggested diagnostics, treatment plans, prescriptions, follow-up care. This way, we maximise our value to clients and maintain trust in our advice.

Regarding prescriptions, we respect the boundaries and limitations of telemedicine. Prescriptions will only be given if it is safe and appropriate to do so based on our most recent home physical exam, consultation on the condition, and a clear understanding of the pet’s health. For conditions that cannot be safely diagnosed and treated, a prescription will not be given.
